Generally, I arrive at the ceremony venue about 30 minutes prior to the announced start time to check in with the bride and groom, catering manager, photographer, musicians and wedding coordinator. I also ensure the appropriate person(s) has the rings and if there’s a unity candle (or other props) that it’s in place with a lighting device. And most importantly, I verify there’s a valid marriage license.
My services as your celebrant are comprehensive to save you time and effort. For example, you are provided unlimited consultation and assistance as you prepare for your wedding ceremony; and I’m available to assist you with the rehearsal by offering you knowledge I have gained over the past 22 years by suggesting tools you might want to employ; Providing customized draft scripts; and emailing you the link to the specific court you will visit in order to apply and obtain your marriage license.
Couples have contacted me days, weeks, months before their wedding date to check my availability, but generally, couples contact me on average about 9 months before their special day. The most popular months are June and October!
